Aizuwakamatsu was host to an interesting festival this past Saturday in which floats and performers from all over Japan came to support Fukushima. The weather was perfect {only day that week} and Mickey, Minnie and the whole gang came to be in the parade! Everyone was freaking out about that. I spent the day hanging out with friends, drinking and eating festival food. Nothing feels so very Japanese as drinking on the street, watching taiko drummers and drunkenly chatting with my 15 year old students!
