I think everyone in the middle of a snowy winter has cabin fever right about now. Mine is especially bad since I'm not working and I rarely leave the house. I have no time to leave with all the studying, writing, emailing and working I've been doing on my graduate school applications. I'm taking the GRE next week and then I'm burrowing in again to perfect my statement of purpose. The stress of it all is making me truly insane.
I'm using words like inveigle and halcyon in conversation. Mostly in conversation with myself... or the cats.
I did get out of the house once recently as I started volunteering at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, something I've wanted to do for a while. I'm lucky enough to be funemployed at the moment, so it's the perfect time to do something like this and hopefully meet some cool people in GR. I had a lovely time at the orientation though I was struck by how young everyone was! Apparently most of the area universities require volunteer hours and the art museum is a hip place to log time. I was really expecting most of the volunteers to be retirees, ha ha.
Studying and art museums. Such is my life right now. Fingers crossed that it'll be the same (and worse) next year!

Aww!! Your cat is so cute. Just look at that face!!
I came here via Yes And Yes and just wanted to say say hurray for Muppet Treasure Island! Several of my friends had never heard of it, and I'm like, hello, Tim Curry and Muppets!
And watching Muppet Christmas Carol is still a tradition for me, even though I'm in my mid-20s...long live Muppets. :)
